This looks like a very nice race. A flat half marathon along with a 5k. An awesome swag bag for the first 300 registered. But don’t wait too long. As of today (August 21) there are 195 people already registered. Early registration is over so at this point it’s $40 for the half marathon and $25 for the 5k. Chip timing will be managed by Lee Timing. Here’s a little overview from the race organizers:
The first 300 registrants will receive an amazing swag package that includes a zippered, cinch bag, Nike N7 shirt, long-sleeve technical race shirt and a fleece beanie.
Both races will start and finish on the stadium track at the Acquoni Expo Center. The proposed course will give runners a flavor of Cherokee through most of its communities. Except for one hill at mile 6, the half marathon course is mostly flat on paved roads.
