JULY 12, 2012: I just heard that this race is cancelled. I don’t have complete confirmation but I urge anyone thinking about running this race to visit the Carpenter’s Heart Website and contact the organization to confirm.
Come out to Carrier Park for a 5k to benefit the efforts of The Carpenter’s Heart. Information from the race organizers:
Come out to Carrier Park, formerly Asheville Speedway, and run in a great afternoon race with an entry fee of $15/5K run and $10/mile walk. This will go towards placing a roof on an orphanage in Honduras. Friday Night lights is designed to grab the community and help spread some light on the living conditions of children in 3rd world countries.
The race starts at 6:30 PM. Register at The Carpenter’s Heart.
