Runners: it’s not a new breakfast menu item at your favorite diner, the Daniel Boone Scramble is the third and final race in the Brooks Jus’ Running Trail Triplicity Series. So lace ‘em up tight for this challenging 15k trail race on August 11, 2012 at Camp Daniel Boone in Canton, North Carolina.
Some descriptive information from the race organizers:
Run in the shadow of legendary Cold Mountain on this difficult, scenic and fun course. You will traverse streams, stunning views, technical single track and climb some serious, yet runnable elevation. This is a one lap race that finishes in the Camp Daniel Boone program areas.
In addition to running a challenging race, you can camp at Camp Daniel Boone the night before. If you do not have a tent, no problem, there are cabins with bunks available at the start/finish line. Contact Bill Lawrence at firstname.lastname@example.org
This is also the 3rd and final race of the Brooks-Jus’ Running Trail Triplicity Series. If you run DuPont, Rock2Rock and the Daniel Boone Scramble, you have the chance to win some great prizes including a coveted entry in to the Shut In Trail Run

Cost is just $30 if you’re pre-registered and $35 on race day. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall in the male and female categories. Age group awards will be given to 1st and 2nd in each age group (10 year age groups – see the registration form for more information). First 100 get a free hat. Race starts at 9:00 AM.
