Smokin’ fast, extremely popular one-miler on a Friday evening in downtown Waynesville, NC, in the midst of a major hootenanny. Last year nearly 300 participants completed the race.

THE FASTEST, FLATTEST MILE RACE IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA! 3rd Annual Fundraising Event for Shriners Hospitals for Children of Greenville.
Race Heats: 6:30 – 18 and under male and female 6:50 – Female over 18 7:10 – Male over 18 7:30 – Team Event for local police, fire, and emergency services personnel FREE POST RACE PARTY FEATURING MUSIC, FOOD, AND DRINKS! Awards Ceremony: At the Post Race Party immediately following the last heat. Overall male & female Top 3 in following age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49,50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over Top Team I-40 to Exit 27 (Turns into US 19/23/74) – Exit 102, South on 276 (Russ Avenue). Right on Branner Avenue. Parking available in parking garage. From parking garage, take elevator or stairs to Main Street. Badcock Furniture store is just north of the parking garage on Main Street. Race begins 1 mile south of historic courthouse. Runners will need to allow time to walk to the starting line.
