I have just learned that the JBL Memorial 5k, originally scheduled for September 9, 2012, has been CANCELLED for 2012. This has been a great race over the past several years and has a solid reputation for its cause, its fine organization and its flat, fast course. We hope to see this race back in 2013.

I wanted to break 19 on this one this year. Say it ain’t so, Dennis.
We have a date – September 9th – without conflicts (other races, at least at this point). We have a very popular flat course. Now we just need a race.
Maybe we could ask Hope for Horses to have their race that day. A great cause.
Perhaps there are conflicts with soccer on that day. The soccer fields near that course are used a lot.
What I read from the race organizers stated that the decision was made for a “myriad of reasons.”
