TC Roberson is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 4th annual Wes Farnam 5K Fun Run/Walk for Cystic Fibrosis. The race location is on the TC Roberson High School campus on Friday May 25 at 4:30 PM (on-site registration starts at about 3:30 PM).
This event is family-friendly, provides a very safe course, and is meant to honor Wes Farnam, who continues to live with Cystic Fibrosis every day. This run is for all ages and abilities and strollers, walkers, etc are all welcome. 100% of all proceeds from this event go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Wes Farnam’s honor. Wes was a Cross Country athlete at TC and has been an inspiration for many students and teachers for his positive attitude and cheerful spirit. Wes will be there to run as he has for the past three years.
Cost of participation in this event is quite modest:
- Students $5.
- Individual, non-student participants $10.
- Familes $20.
Please come on out to help support this important cause. It’s the Friday before Memorial Day weekend so maybe you can get off work early in time to participate. If you need an official letter from your Blogger, I’d be happy to write one to your boss.
A registration form/flyer should be available shortly after spring break.
