  1. Hi, Carolina Runner!
    Thanks for posting this, and keeping up with the local race results. This race was Weaverville Elementary’s boys running club (Blackhawk Boys) focus race. It was a great event- will be much bigger next year, no doubt.

      No, I think that’s it. The note I received from the race organizer said …

      This being our first race, timing equipment just wasn’t in the budget. We did have a time clock on site for racers to track their personal times, but did not record result times. Given the success of the event we plan on tracking times next year.

        Well that’s too bad. I have done races that were less money and they had timing chips. I placed 1st in my age group only to be knocked out by some guy who said he stepped out of the line and they marked him 1st place. Bad karma.
